Mounting plate for any router

The Anodised Aluminium Mounting Plate (RTAMP-6) allows you to attach your choice of handheld plunge router. The mounting plate is supplied undrilled. Use the router installation centring pin and plastic base of your router to set out the positions of the fixing screws. Drill and countersink for a secure fit. The mounting plate is supplied with six levelling grub screws so you may align the plate with the surface of the worktable.

Please note – when screwing your router to the mounting plate, it is recommended you remove the plastic router base for a firmer fix. In some cases, you may need to purchase longer fixing screws. Contact your local bolt shop for the suitable screws.

Mounting plate insert rings

Your router mounting plate can accept a variety of throat insert rings. The insert rings feature a twist lock design, so they are held firmly in position, in line with the surrounding surface. Use the insert rings to minimise the gap around your router bit to eliminate vibration and increase accuracy. Insert spanner included. Use the SKU RTPIR-5 on the Timbecon website to learn more. Handy router fence

This free-standing router table setup has a very handy fence. Featuring 2 x T-Tracks for attaching accessories, measuring tape, a 63mm dust port and blade guard. Also included are fence faceplate packing rods, use these to pack the faceplates out and turn your router into a jointer. The fence attaches to the worktable via two outrigger guides both with measuring gauges.

Phenolic worktable

What’s special about a Phenolic worktable? Two things, density and durability. This worktable is dense and heavy meaning it won’t vibrate and won’t budge when you lean on it. It is also durable. Resistant to abrasion, heat, chemicals and anything else you can throw at it. If you were working on Mars, you would use a Phenolic worktable.

Attach any type of hand-held router by drilling the holes yourself. The plate features leveling screws and fixing screws. And a removable start pin that fixes in two positions. Attaching your router to the mounting plate

Your RTAMP-6 Aluminium router plate is supplied with a router centring pin. Use this pin to centre your router on the underside the plate to mark out and drill the screw fixing holes in five easy steps:

• Insert the centring pin into your router
• Insert the centring pin insert throat plate into the mounting plate
• Place the router on the underside of the base plate, aligning the centring pin into the insert plate
• Scribe out the position of the router base
• Remove the plastic router base from your router and use it to mark out and drill the holes

Milescraft Metal Bushing Set

A cool trick is that RTAMP-6 is compatible with Milescraft Metal Bushing Sets. Available as either a Metric set MC-1278, or as an Imperial set MC-1228, these bushes are invaluable accessory for your router setup. Use to complete template routing, dovetailing, sign making and inlay routing. Bushing sizes include:

MC-1228 – 5/16in, 3/8in, 7/16in, 1/2in, 5/8in, 3/4in and 51/64in.

MC-1278 – 10mm, 13mm, 17mm, 20mm, 24mm, 27mm and 30mm

Twin track mitre guide

The phenolic top worktable features an embedded twin slot mitre track. One slot for a standard mitre guide, one T-Track for additional accessories such as feather boards.

Turn your router fence into a jointer

Your router fence is now even more versatile. Included with your fence are 2 x fence faceplate packing rods. Slide these in behind the outfeed faceplate to pack them out turning your router into a jointer.

Remote switch
